1. Antifreeze all fixtures (throughout the home) including but not limited to:
a. Toilets
b. Kitchen Sinks
c. Bathroom Sinks, Tubs and Showers
d. Washer Boxes
e. Floor Drain(s) – These are the most commonly overlooked by many who winterize. This is because they are many times hidden from view such as under washing machines, water heaters, furnaces, boilers, sometimes in closets and, believe it or not, under rugs or carpet.
2. Drain and blow out water lines (with a compressor).

3. Drain water heater
4. Drain and blow out (if necessary) sprinkler lines.
5. Open all valves, faucets, and shut offs including: a. Outside faucets (sill cocks) b. Washer boxes (on/off valves) c. Kitchen, bathroom and any other faucets on or in premises
6. Drain washing machine
7. Disconnect water meter (if applicable). This is often overlooked.
8. Shut off water in meter pit or at curb box. NOTE: Check for proper operation in case of an EMERGENCY.
