Is it Time to De-Winterize?

Winter is over and Spring is here. If you have, or
manage, property that has been winterized then we are
your de-winterization experts. We do a thorough
inspection of all water piping, fixtures and faucets
ensuring that there are no splits (broken pipe) or
malfunctioning faucets and fixtures caused by improper
or late winterization.

The steps we take to insure
a proper de-winterization

1. Reconnect water meter (if applicable).

2. Turn on water in meter pit or at curb box

3. De-Antifreeze all  fixtures (throughout the home)
including but not limited to:
a.
Toilets
b. Kitchen Sinks
c. Bathroom Sinks, Tubs and Showers

4. Test Floor Drain(s)Since these are the most
commonly overlooked by many who winterize primarily
because they are many times hidden from view such as under
washing machines, water heaters, furnaces, boilers,
sometimes in closets and, believe it or not, under rugs or
carpet. We also verify proper drainage.
5. Open water lines and test for leaks

6. Fill and test water heater

7. Blow out (if necessary) and test sprinkler
lines

8. Test all valves, faucets, and shut offs including:
a.
Outside faucets (sill cocks)
b. Washer boxes (on/off valves)
c. Kitchen, bathroom and any other faucets on or in
premises
